Texas Roadhouse Benefit

We'd like to thank Mr.Sean Molony from the Texas Roadhouse at Wilmot and Broadway for generously allowing us to have a benefit and raffle there for Nathan on March 24, '08. It was a huge success and blessing for our family and Nathan's fund. There was delicious food, awesome prizes, face painting, a jumping castle, funny balloon animal guy, plus Andy the Armadillo! Also we'd like to say a special thank you to Terry from KVOI radio who came out and did a remote, and the Classic Car Club of Tucson who graciously came out in support came out as well. Having so much support from the community is always so awesome and humbling.  We are very thankful and blessed for the prayers and care from everyone.  Right now Terry and Doug Martin from KVOI/KGMS/KLOVE are letting me tag along to several of their remotes and promotions the radio station's doing around town, which is incredibly kind and such a blessing so we are able to keep our raffle going!!  We are also going to continue to have a separate place for people to donate in a jar to Brandon Olson and his family. We've raised $400 for far for them, and are hoping to add to that soon!!

The tickets for Nathan's Raffle are $2.00 each or 6 for $10.00 and you can get them anytime and don't have to be present to win. 790-0464 Call Lesli or Pat and let us know how many you'd like, or if you'd like to help us sell them.   Here's a list of some of the prizes: U of A Season Tickets for 2, $100 gift Certificate from The Melting Pot, Glass bowl from Tucson Stained Glass, Art print by amazing artist Diane Madras's Gallery plus we have many gift certificates for El Parador, The Hungry Fox, Sweet Tomatoes and several other awesome restaurants around town. There's jewelry from Marc Contreras and other's from around town and much more!! Drawings will be after the county fair April, and possibly even one in May depending on if our response continues to do well as they are now.

We would like to thank Mr. An for allowing us to have Nathan's 4th benefit dinner this past Sunday March 9, '08.

It was at his amazing Great Wall of China restaurant. The food was beyond delicious as always, and though there was a smaller turn out we were still deeply blessed by it.

We would also like to thank Jim Click for helping to sponsor the dinner,
and for the contribution of his personal condo for the grand prize of our raffle.

We also would like to thank all those who generously donated either in financial contributions or in items to our raffle. A beautiful ensemble of 8 terrific young women from The Tucson Girls Choir also sang 4 incredibly beautiful songs for us, and made the evening a delight and truly a blessing for all who were able to attend.

Thank you deeply for the support and prayers.

June 21, '07

Nathan is currently doing fairly well which we are very thankful to God for.
He had another staph infection in March that he was on antibiotics for, then in April it was strep throat all month long trying two different rounds of antibiotics to help him through that one.

He still isn't eating/swallowing ANY solid foods, which is just heart wrenching. He will still occasionally have soup broth, but he still will only chew food up and then spit it out. We try to work positively with him all the time every day, but still, it's just hard.

We know he'll be able to swallow and eat in time, and we just pray for that day to come soon. I am hoping that once the therapy starts again he'll improve, I can't tell you how frustrating it was to know help was there for him, but do to lack of finances we couldn't afford the therapy, so he hadn't had any since Feb. He still receives all his nutrition through his G-tube. (feeding tube)

But good news! We are so glad that so far this year, we are incredibly glad to be able to say he hasn't been in the hospital AT ALL so far this year. So that has to count for something right? So thank God for that.
We are just praying that he is getting stronger and maybe his immune system is getting a little stronger too.

Thanks for your care and prayers. Financial help, and prayers are deeply appreciated and a blessing to us more than I could ever say. He is still right around 26 pounds, and though he's gotten a lot taller, he was that same weight a year ago.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
